Lost in Wawona

This was the first time I have seen let alone stayed at the Wawona Hotel in Yosemite National Park. I was inspired by the history and grounds. The staff was very friendly and professional. Though the food okay in the restaurant. The wait staff was courteous and knowledgable. Stepping back in time was more fun; no telephones and televisions in the rooms. The room we occupied no bathroom. That was a short walk away. Feel of drom life or the way guests stayed a century ago. The down side: this is a national park and the hotel has that feeling, think your federal government with little budget. And though they look like an upscale resort - it isn't. It's a great place to flop while running around Yosemite. Be warned - there is no civility from other guests who run around in the wee hours. I would probably stay there again. Next time with a bathroom. But I highly recommend In the evening sit in the parlor and listen to Tom Bopp a local piano man. He's great.
