I was in town for a convention and wound up at the Mansion because the Marriot was sold out - but sure glad I ended up there. The Mansion has a lot of character - especially compared to the local chain hotels where some of my colleagues were staying. It's a little pricier than the Hyatt and Westin, but I think it was worth the money -- because it is a true luxury hotel with a lot of Southern charm. I had dinner one night at 700 Drayton and the food was as superb as the decor.
I was here in August where it was definitely too hot to fully enjoy the town. I heard October and April are the best months to visit and will try to come back with my wife in October. I will definitely book again at the Mansion - as I think the wife will enjoy the romantic weekend.
