My husband and I chose the Comfort Inn based upon the experience that we have had at other Comfort Inn locations. Unfortunately, this Inn did not even compare. The room and bathroom were very small. The beds were uncomfortable. The room and furniture very outdated. There weren?t even enough outlets in the room to plug the alarm clock on the bed stand between the 2 beds. It was located on top of the TV stand. There was no desk or sitting area (something I loved about the Bangor location), just a round table with 2 chairs.
We stayed at the Comfort Inn near the Bangor Mall in Bangor, Maine within the past year and were so impressed with the experience that we decided to give this one a try. What a huge disappointment. The free breakfast was set up in a small and inconvenient location. People had to wait in a long line that went thought the door and outside. The only access is from outside (I?m not sure what would have happened if it had been raining). The room was way too small and understaffed for the amount of people it was serving.
The up side, it was conveniently located near historic points of interest. The housekeeping staff was pleasant and did a nice job cleaning the room daily. It also had 2 pools, one inside, one out. The down side, the pools were not very clean and my children often found nasty things floating in them. Luckily, we had family in the area and only slept at the Inn. I would never stay at this location again. I was very unimpressed and wonder if Comfort Inn Corporate has consistent quality standards that all Inns must live up to. This one definitely misses the mark.
