The hotel staff asked for a credit card implying that it was to secure the room for incidental charges such as telepnone calls. My card was charged as if I had not paid in advance. In other words I was charged twice. Upon my protest, this was corrected, but what if I hadn't noticed?
The mattress was worn out as well as the bedding. There were only 2 towels in the room and the pillows were old and flat. The elevator started to move upward with the doors open, which was a bit scary to say the least. The continental breakfast was of poor quality. It consisted of bagels with cream cheese, white toast with margarine if desired, two choices of juice, coffee and Trix cereal. The table and lounge chair in the room was old and of poor quality. The lamp had a burned-out bulb.
I would not recommend staying here and I will not do so again!
My stay was for two nights. Upon returning to the hotel for the second night, my key did not work and I had to return to the desk to fix the problem. All that was required of me was my room number and key. I asked if they would at least check my identification so prove my identity and I was told, "That isn't necessary."
