The employees were all polite and helpful. Furthermore, Marylebone is a wonderful area to stay in (provided that the late night noise from the pubs doesn't bother you). It's a lovely neighborhood with a lot of restaurants. The hotel is also conveniently close to the underground. The rooms are small but that's to be expected in London. My complaint about this hotel is the bathroom. We were told when we checked in that if we paid an extra 30 pounds (current exchange rate- $60) per night that we could have a "full shower." We had no idea what "full shower" meant but we were on a tight budget and couldn't afford an extra $60 per night. As it turns out, the shower we had in our room had only half a door. There was a bathtub with a shower but there was no shower curtain and only HALF a shower door which did not close. Water got all over the floor every time we showered and it was almost impossible to keep the heat in. But the worse thing about the bathroom was the bathroom door. It was a swinging door with no latch. The doorknob on the door was just a handle with no mechanism to keep the door closed; it would swing open with the lightest touch. Worst of all, this door was made entirely of frosted glass. Everytime I used the bathroom I felt completely exposed. I had to bolt the door to our room just so I wouldn't worry that the maid would walk in and see me. If you enjoy feeling like you are on display then this is the room for you but as for me, next time I travel I'll stay somewhere else.
