Friday's Historic Inn on First Street - note spelling! - a wonderful surprise. It has historic character, but modern comforts. Our room: small, but the bed sumptuous. Attractive furnishings. Some rooms share a bathroom. No dining room, but snacks, kitchen resources, fruit, china & silverware always available. Excellent continental breakfast & afternoon tea with fresh-baked scones! Lovely garden courtyard, comfortable lounge, upstairs "library" with games, Mac computer, DVDs. Staff: very friendly & helpful. Street can be noisy at night; we slept well.
