We selected this hotel because of its park and fly package. The hotel itself was nice, rooms clean and bed comfortable. It is conveniently located near the Oakland Airport & has a shuttle that runs frequently from hotel to the terminal. However, I have never in my life ever met a ruder hotel staff. When we were checking in asking basic questions such as, what time do we need to be in the lobby to catch a shuttle that will get us to the airport at 5:00am, the clerk looked at us like we were complete idiots. She could never give us a straight answer and was extrememly rude in all of her responses. In the morning at check out, we had to wait at the counter for a considerable amount of time while the clerk (a different one from the night before) sat in the lobby watching a TV show. When she finally got up to help us she acted like we were a terrible inconvenience. The shuttle bus driver wasn't much of an improvement but at least he said good morning. The only hotel staff that showed us any courtesy was the maid that brought us some extra towels. (I have never figured out why when your reservation is for 4 people hotels only give you enough towels for 3.)
In all, the hotel itself was nice for what it is, the park & fly was convenient. But I would never stay there again due to the treatment of the staff. I can't imgagine that Holiday Inn would tolerate such customer service. I will think twice before staying at any Holiday Inn in the future.
