Very comfortable stay at the Lodge at Sonoma. Every part of this hotel seemed as if it had just undergone a high-quality renovation. Our spacious room included an electric fireplace, which was great as it was a rainy weekend and we ended up spending more time indoors than we normally would. On the second night of our trip we ate dinner at Carneros, the hotel's restaurant. Good food and an excellent wine pairing recommended by our server. This really is an excellent Marriott property--one of my favorites in wine country. My only warning to would-be visitors is that the location of the hotel isn't ideal: it's on a bland stretch of Hwy 12 about a mile from town.
