Unexpected visitors

We stayed over the holiday season in one of the villas. Although a beautiful surrounding creek behind the two story room the beauty is over shadowed by "Pests". My family stayed at the hotel for two nights and when we returned home we had all encountered a lovely case of lice! We checked the incubation period and it falls right when we went on our trip at this hotel, we stayed no where but there. We narrowed it down to the pillow and blanket that was left in a downstairs hallway, (that could have been forgotten, and not laundered). They also have towels left in the linen closets that could have also been left if the housekeeping thought they might be clean. There are too numerous accounts here from where we could have picked up this bug, including a playpen that was used, linens and even the beds. The housekeeping was always in a hurry so I really don't doubt some kind of slip up somewhere that unfortunately impacted us. Just wanted to post this as a "Beware", that if you choose this hotel that you know a little so you can watch out for these things. And definately watch out for those "hidden" linens and don't be so trusting that they are clean. For the rate we paid you don't expect to come home with this kind of surprise, you expect that from a cheap cut rate hotel. WATCH OUT
