Close enough to the sites but far enough away to be affordable we got a 140 Internet rate. Just a few blocks from Fords Theatre the International Spy Museum the Portrait Gallery Crime and Punishment Museum Chinatown many restaurants. Anything farther than that we used The Circulator bus for 1 each and got down to the Mall musuems and back just fine. Just a couple of blocks to catch the bus. Not your run-of-the-mill hotel a very 1930s boutique feel like youre staying in someones apartment. Needed a roll-away bed for our 8-yr old but all the beds were super comfortable. Two noise factors: our room was across from a building on 10th that was under construction starting around 7am also our 2nd floor room was directly over the piano in the bar down below which was only a factor on Sat. night! Great location otherwise safe and would definitely stay here again or one of the other boutique style hotels in DC. Made it nice to come home after beating our feet all day.
