Stayed here over Fourth of July weekend 2009. First, we were told that parking was included. Not true for July 4th. Because it's there's busiest day of the year, they can not offer free parking for hotel guests. Since the resort is located within Stone Mountain Park, they are subject to rules and regulations from Stone Mountain Park. We were told that if we were to leave the park completely on July 4th, that there is no guarantee that you will be allowed to return. The Fourth of July attraction is so popular that once the park reaches maximum occupancy (which they told us it almost always does and usually by mid-afternoon) the gates will be closed and there will be no admittance until a ceratin number of vehicles leave. This could be well after the festivities end which is around 10 O'Clock at night. So, needless to say, your basicially locked down for the day at the resort or locked out of the resort until midnight. We travelled in from out of state and were not made aware of any of this when we booked this resort. Had this been explained to us in the beginning, we never would have stayed here.
