Large resort, wonderful staff, disappointing rooms

I stayed at Disney's Old Key West Resort because of the good deal I received on Travelocity. It would normally be out of my price range. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. If you play golf it would be the perfect place to stay as a golf course runs throught the resort. We arrived very late at night and the staff was great at making sure we were well taken care of. They brought us straight to our building which was nice because it is a very large resort and we could easily have gotten lost trying to get to our room after dark. The room was very basic and I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price for it. I believe that they are updating rooms one building at a time and I hope they will get to the rest of the rooms soon. There is only one 1 restaurant at the resort but you could easily get to several other restaurants by taking the resort boats or buses. If you planned on being out and about all day it would be fine, otherwise you would have to make your own food or travel to a restaurant for meals.
