Staying at Le Chateau Frontenac is a one-of -a-kind experience. Conveniently located in the heart of the walled old Quebec City, walking in any direction will take you to great restaurants, shops, scenic views, the historic citadelle, and some other very nice museums. The best part about the Chateau is the chateau itself. The building is fascinating, beautiful, and filled with unique little features like the griffons above the revolving doors and the art deco staircase where people sign up to take the tour of the building. The tour is definitely worth taking. Offered in French or English with charming costumed guides who take you into rooms you would otherwise not see, it gives a 1 sense of the vast building's own long and interesting history.
