I'll start with the not-so-good news: the hotel is overpriced and, although the service was consistently top-notch, the food was invariably poor. Other restaurants in the area are exquisite, so if you stay at Frontenac, I'd recommend you explore dining alternatives. The good news: the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! It looks and feels like a castle, and the views of the city and river are stunning. The service at all points was very good. It is located ideally on the river and in the heart of the old town, so it's a perfect spot for walking on your own explorations. Many organized tours are available, as well. All in all we had a wonderful, romantic and cultural experience.
