This was a fantastic hotel with location, price, cleanliness and staff considered. It is a perfect location in the French Quarter, just steps away from Jackson Square and all the best spots. I also liked that it wasn't right on Bourbon, but still extremely close. All staff members were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were quaint, but very clean. Since this is such an affordable place to stay, next time I would spring for the room with a window, as I had an interior room, and it was a little dark. My friends had a top floor exterior room with a balcony for still a great price, and this was absolutely beautiful to look over the courtyard. However, considering there is no need to do anything more in your room than sleep and shower while staying in New Orleans, this didn't really matter much. My favorite thing about this hotel, was that it was quintessential New Orleans, especially for a first time visitor like myself. It was very old world "French Quarter" with a charming courtyard and brick exterior and offered all the fantasy of New Orleans that one envisions. It was always easy to get back to after a late night in the French Quarter, which is important! If you are looking for a luxury stay while visiting New Orleans, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for an experience like the one I have described, I would make your reservations now!
