Being raised near Chattanooga I never considered the city from a tourists' point of view. After moving I found myself driving through with my family. Wanting to check out how the city was doing I decided that we would spend the night there. We ended up at the Chattanoogan purely by chance, but we were surprised to find a trendy establishment with great services that had not forgotten its historic past, not unlike the city it is named after. I was so happy with the atmosphere that we decided to spend another night. We were close to different places that the kids liked, while the spa and their bar (the foundry?) provided plenty of entertainment for the wife and I.
