Stayed at The Brown in mid-January 2011 and can't wait to go back. Check-in service was fast, friendly and efficient. Bell hops were available to assist with luggage. We booked a deluxe king room on the Club Floor. To our surprise, we arrived at Happy Hour and were treated to locally brewed beer, several choices of wine and an array of appetizers including spanakopita, salami, proscuitto, cheeses, fruits. Just what we needed to tide us over until we returned from the 8 o'clock concert we were attending at The Kentuck Center (also a wonderful experience). A continental breakfast is also available if you book a room on one of the Club Floors. And coffee, tea, water, soda is available nearly all day on these floors. After the concert, we returned to our room and ordered a Classic American Hamburger and Caesar salad. Both were delicious and room service was quick. The room was well-appointed with comfortable bedding, a good mattress, cozy robes and sufficient towels and toiletries. From our 13th floor room, we had a nice view of the city. Parking in the adjacent garage was $* nightly but well worth it. The garage connects directly with the hotel and we had no problem finding a parking space. We had lunch at the Hotel Grill and enjoyed their specialty, The Hot Brown. Highly recommend you give this yummy dish a try! Our only complaint was that the room was a bit chilly even with the heat up to 75 degrees. But it is an old building with the original windows....it's to be expected. This wouldn't stop us from staying at the Brown again.
