Great place to stay downtown Seattle

The location is outstanding; right near the monorail, light rail, Metro buses, shopping, etc. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. This is one of those hotels that sends you a message shortly after you have checked in to make sure everything meets your expectations. The room was clean, maybe a bit smaller than at other 4-star hotels, but still very nice. The bed suited my likes very well. I liked having an in-room safe. The only complaint I have about the room is that the "counter-top" space in the bathroom consists of a single little glass shelf over the sink. Not much room to spread out your toiletries. Parking is a bit expensive, but not out of line with other downtown hotels in this class. And the valets were very prompt. One of my favorite features of the hotel is the great little martini bar. The head bartender, Patrick, was entertainment every evening. I have never met a man who seemed to enjoy his work more and who was able to use his enthusiasm to make the patrons feel good. The great martinis didn't hurt either. I plan to try to stay here again on my next Seattle visit.
