Hotel was overpriced based on the service level, room quality, and amenities

We were disappointed with the overall experience compared to other similarly priced resorts we have stayed in previously. The reception staff was not friendly or welcoming. They provided no information regarding local activities, community events occuring during our stay, etc. The sofa bed in the room was worn and dvery uncomfortable for sleeping. The walls were paper thin and we could hear every sound from the room beside us including a crying infant for two consecutive nights. The air conditioning unit was very noisy. The pool area on the ocean front was much smaller than it appeared in the website photos and you could not find any chairs or loungers unless you you arrived before 8:00 AM. There was no staff no monitor the pool use so families would "stake out" their chairs at the pool and leave their personal belongings there for the entire day even when they left for outside activities. The spa did not have any staff for manicures and pedicures so we were forced to go off site for the services which were advertised on their website as being available at the spa. The food at the restaurants was very average and significantly overpriced compared to the local area resttaurants. Overall, we considered the this hotel to overpriced by 20 % to 25% based on the overall quality and services.
