The cost of the accomodations is well worth it what with staying at the edge of Yosemite and the convenience of venturing out from this central point to explore the park. One can just feel the history surrounding the hotel by staying here! The hotel restaurant serves excellent meals at a reasonable cost. Our stay was in one of the detached buildings that is situated up on the hillside behind the main lodge, just a short walk away. The only negative was that with the room we were assigned, we had to share a "community" bathroom/shower that was separate from the main building, just on the side of the porch; it was pretty cool in the mornings, and sometimes busy, causing a wait.
