I visit Vegas few times a year. This was my first time staying at Gold Spike; good ratings, competitive price(but not the best if you add up resort fee), and its advertising(newly remodeled). Greeting was good. Elevator was scary experience; not a smooth ride. On slot machine, when cashing out you have to wait for attending cashier, I had to wait more than 10 minutes at 1:30am, the whole Casino is a size of approx. 3000sf(?). I had to catch an early flight so asked for morning call, it didn't happen. When I complained the same lady took my morning call request said sorry, but talked me back while I was leaving. I couldn't hear what she said but I heard some unpleasant remarks from her frowning face. And about parking, I had a mid-size SUV, it wasn't easy to park due to small and narrow parking space. I would not recommend this hotel. with my experience, you can find a better deal than Gold Spike.
