we stayed here for a "babymoon" and I couldn't have been happier. The room we had overlooked the Bay and had a great view of Alcatraz. Yes, it wasn't the largest room but it was definitely a comfortable and charming one. Loved that the window opened! kept it open all night and day. We traveled from Chicago in February so the weather was perfect for us. The doormen were always attentive and pleasant as well as the employees at the front desk. There is a computer for your use at the front desk - for printing out boarding passes or checking email, etc... The food at the restaurant in the hotel was great. As well as the service. I must say that the restaurants in the immediate area (right on the warf) are more for the tourists than a foodie. So my suggstion is to ask around and find a local that can point you in the right direction. There are some fantastic breakfast joints right behind the hotel and it's within walking distance of some fabulous attractions. I highly suggest renting the little yellow cars you see everywhere. We were gone for 5 hours and it was by fa the most fun we had! What a fantastic area! Perfect for couples!
