A nice surprise.

Check-in/check-out was prompt. Rarely a wait for an elevator, even during spring break. Our forth floor rooms (2) in the Paradise Tower were recently redecorated but we lost any view for two of our three nights due masking of the windows due to exterior painting. The ice machine on each floor was ample. The beds includes extra pillows and the mattresses were "extremely" comfortable. Our room was quiet. The highlight of out stay was the pool area. The pool has plenty of area to sun bathe and two hot tubs. Except for the carry-out pizza we took the pool, we did not eat on site. The Tropicana is on the south end of the strip, with-in easy walking distance to five or more casinos. We did not gamble on-site. The resort fee is $10 per day and includes internet access. Coffee pots are available upon request. Be prepared to ask for restocking of room supplies. A convenience store/gas station is located just South of the parking garage. The parking garage is reasonably close but was full when we returned to the hotel on Saturday night. This garage is accessible from Las Vegas Blvd and from Tropicana Blvd. I think the Tropicana was a good value for a three day week-end this time of year (April 21-24, 2011)
