The frequent shuttle takes you for free to the Fashion Show Mall, which is the very north point on the strip, but still not too bad. I booked late, maybe a week before Halloween, and got the best hotel deal, so I expected a motel like environment, but got a super nice hotel instead. The only thing was... the crowd was a bit on the older side. Not that it bothered me, since I didn't spend too much time in the hotel anyway... what mattered to me was that the room and everything else was great.
