The Salt Lake Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of the City Centre. I have stayed there more than once, chiefly because of its convenient location. The Family History Library is just around the corner and it is immediately across the street from Temple Square. It's the most accessible location for genealogists planning to spend time at the FHL, and tourists certainly can't go wrong with its central location. New shopping areas were being built nearby the last time I was there. The hotel staff were kind enough to find a hypoallergenic pillow when I told them I was allergic to their fluffy down pillows. I had a single room, small, but perfectly sized for my purposes. Room service comes from JB's Restaurant which is attached to the hotel. Good food and nice service. There is a covered parking garage attached to the hotel if you rent a car, or the concierge service will arrange a ride to / from the airport.
