We really enjoyed our stay at the Murano. The room was well appointed; wonderfully comfortable bed, nice bathrrom and generally clean and comfortable. Room service was quick and the food good. Each floor hosts the work of a different glass artist. The common areas are all decorated with glass art. This location has really good conference or meeting faciliites. The Bite restaurant had great cocktails and appetizers (discounted at Happy Hour). Cross the street and walk a half block from the entrance outside of the Bite Restaurant is Fujiya Restaurant. They have fantastic sushi and Japnese cuisine. The University of Washington, Washington State Museum, Glass Museum, Art Museum, Children's Museum and the Thea Foss Waterway are a short walk away, less than 5 minutes. The Convention Center is 1 block east of the hotel. There are both city and Mountain Rainier views from the hotel. I consider it a major drawback that they do not provide free Internet access. Parking is $* a night; however, the street above the Murano has free parking. All other streets near the Murano are city hourly fee parking.
