Not the Ritz but well worth a stay or two

I've stayed at the Alpine countless times over the past three years during the winter. Why? Well, first off, its affordable--especially for beer budget taste (Its not the Ritz). Biggest draw is Its a block or so from the casinos, restraunts, and stores, walking distance to the Village at Heavenly, and near the bus stop that travels to Sierra at Tahoe--so no driving on a powder day! Its a quaint lil spot perfect for people out to have a good time with some friends without getting into too much trouble. Most rooms have been upgraded recently (I noticed new carpet, drapes, paint, ect). Staff is on hand for towels and such. They are friendly and patient. Parking can be a hassel on busy weekends (like Holidays). Busy travel weekends have a more youthful party feel while other weekends are fairly quiet. Never been after the snow melts--but there is a pool and hot tub that are drained in the winter.
