The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The physical plant was excellent. Location in Chinatown and view were great. The IT was a disaster. My first room, both the wired and the cordless phones were non-functional and the wireless internet was down. The hotel technician came up right away (good) and got both phones working (good) but I had to wait around while this was being done (bad). The technician had no idea how computer networks function and put me onto AT&T, which was only able to confirm there was a problem and said it would take till the next day to fix. I had to demand a new room, which should have been done from the start so I wouldn't have to lose so much time (a couple hours). I don't go to a fancy hotel to spend my time with tech support fixing the hotel's equipment. Then to top it all off, the hotel's wake-up call was an hour early because it hadn't been updated for daylight savings time (which had happened three weeks earlier). VERY unimpressed. Also, a tip is to ask for a room that is not next to the elevators if noise bothers you. The double-size beds are by the elevators.
