Keep your travelocity confirmation! They could not find my reservation - tried to check in and were told that we were not in their system. After I gave a copy of the travelocity confirmation and it was suddenly "found," but seemed to be treated differently since we did not book directly, rather abrupt (e.g., were just given our keys - we were not given an overview of the hotel services such as the free wine tastings or free shuttle to downtown Sonoma, found out about those on check out, unfortunately). Pro: Beautiful lush grounds, with lots of roses, local flowers, and well pruned trees - was very well done and relaxing. Spacious, large cottage rooms with fireplaces, separate outside sitting area and large bathroom with soaking tub. Very quiet even though hotel was very full. Great location, convenient to all of wine country - including Napa and Russian River area. Can walk to downtown Sonoma - it is a good walk but nice in good weather. Cons: Room could use some upgrading, rugs was visibly dirty and bed was not so comfortable. Was disappointed with daily cleanings, we had a big spider web in our bathroom and floor was dirty. Only free wifi in lobby, saw guests in PJs using their computers in the lobby. Overall, would recommend but not sure it is a 4 star, suggest requesting upstairs cottage room - it was very quiet!
