This hotel has an awesome location downtown. It's central to everything. Step out of the parking lot and into a park with trails along the river. Caras Park, which holds a lot of activities in the summer, was an extremely short walk away. Whether you want to access businesses North or South of the Clark Fork River, this hotel makes everything an easy walk. The hotel itself is nothing fancy. It could use a remodel, BUT the location and the friendly staff more than make up for it. There were a couple issues with the fire alarm while I was there (dust set it off twice). A bit inconvenient, but at least we knew it worked. I'd recommend this hotel if you would like to be walking distance to all downtown Missoula has to offer. It's a bit farther to get to UM, but a lovely walk whether you follow the walking path along the river or wind through the streets of the University District. One other cool thing about this hotel: it's pet friendly! Missoula is a great town for dogs, so bring yours. I missed having mine, especially because I could easily access trails from the hotel.
