Not so bad, not so great

I stayed at the Hotel Blue when attending a conference at the convention center. It's a little far to walk to get to the CC, but doable. The hotel is a little on the edge of downtown, which can be a little sketchy at night. There is a main drag just a block away with some nightclubs that can be loud on the weekends. I was in a room on the top floor, next to the elevator. The building is sort of old and the soundproofing could be better. The room itself was a little run down, and I know the hotel was working on some renovations at the time. There was no wireless internet, but the staff (very friendly) provided ethernet cables for free. Beds are Tempurpedic and very comfortable, and the TVs are top notch. I did not check out the continental breakfast while there. I would say it was a sufficient stay, but not by any means swanky. I don't think I would stay there again, primarily because I would choose a nicer hotel closer to downtown.
