Not as great as it used to be...

This was my fourth stay at this particular resort. I do love this resort which is why I've stayed here every time I have visited Cozumel. I have always stayed in the Royal Club. The previous three times I stayed here the rooms and the service were top notch. This last visit, I was basically unsatisfied and unhappy with the room and not crazy about the service either. The room and all the bedding smelled of mildew very bad. I complained immediately after being checked into my room. They switched me to another room with the same issue. They changed the bedding, sheets, bed spread and pillow, but even the new bedding smelled bad of mildew. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. I understand humidity on the island, but they must make up for this by renewing the beds in this resort to get rid of the mildew smell! This is a very high end resort and I think they need to spend the money to refurbish the bedding, drapes and anything else in the room that stinks. Actually, they need to throw out all the mattresses and pillows and start fresh. I may or may not re-visit this resort again.
