Although Sofitel was out of my price range, Travelocity's clever idea of Top Secret Hotel Deals landed me in the lap of luxury! The acquired accent of the concierge, quite possibly from on-the-job training, did absolutely nothing except augment the foreign twist to a down the street destination. Above and beyond your call of duty, Concierge! Above and beyond! However, the accent was the least of my unexpected expectations of a four-star hotel...the "blu-ray" poster in the elevator pretty much set it off! All the way to DC from Texas and the Washington Monument poster in the elevator was enough sight seeing for my fiance and I. Not only did I see the monument in HD, I was eye level with the top! Sofitel, you got me staring at the world from my rear view.
