What did I like about this Days Inn? Now that you ask, not much. Let's start with the screwed up Internet. It worked fine for the first couple of nights, then the wifi antenna showed a signal, but the computer said no connection detected. The clerk said she was fixing it, but nothing was resolved that night. The next night, nothing had changed. I took my computer up and talked to the clerk and she said everything was working fine. I told her I was receiving signals at the desk I couldn't in the room. Here's where it gets really stupid. She told me there was a repeater in my building in the room next to me. She told me she would have to call the tenant and ask them to reset it, she did and guess what, the tenant wasn't there. So I did without internet on the last night as well. If my neighbor had a reset button, why didn't I and why on earth would you rely on a guest who probably isn't going to spend a lot of time in their room. My second grievance was the parking, screwed up! They have a small parking area WHICH they share with a restaurant. If you are out too late (and who would be in Hawaii, just like you'd be in your room to reset the neighbor's internet), you have to park in a general use graveled parking lot next door, hope you don't get that rental dinged by a flying rock. As I said before, aside from the closeness to a long nice beach, I have absolutely no reason to recommend this place and I don't.
