We arrived to a decent looking hotel on a Wednesday afternoon and were told that we were going to be given an upgrade at no charge. Great, right?? Wrong! The upgraded room was nice enough with a king bed, desk and t.v. but we were put in a room right beside the construction zone next door! We endured it for about 30 minutes before we asked for a different room and were shown a different room with a queen bed and bath; since my husband is 6'6" we had to decline the room with the queen bed. The manager told us to go back to our room and wait for him to check for other availability. He called with the bad news of no other room available but he would "buy us a couple of drinks at the bar." We politely declined and asked when the workers would stop for the day. He said 5:00 and I'm sorry to say that it was 7:00 when we left the hotel and they were still going at it. Not to be outdone, they began their work diligently at 6:30 a.m. If you decide to stay at this hotel, call and make sure you are not placed in a room by the construction zone! We might have enjoyed our stay if it weren't for that, but I really can't say that I did....at all!
