From a riverfront room on the south bank of the St. John's river, the nighttime cityscape of Jacksonville--on both sides of the river--is spectacular. The hotel is situated a mere few feet from a walkway along the river. The hotel features an in-house (also facing the river) Ruth's Chris. Other restaurants within a very short walk include a pub with indoor and outdoor seating, and a Chart House, also taking in the river view, just a short walk away. A touring riverboat is docked nearby, for more visual appeal. The hotel itself is not new, or does not appear to be, but is nice, and the room was comfortable. Parking in convenient, on the ground level on the street or the river side. Those who wish to exercise might find the very small room with a few pieces of exercise equipment sub-standard. But overall, the experience was a treat.
