The staff here was attentive, helpful, and so friendly. I was travelling with my 2.5 yr old son and my 15 mo. old daughter who has Down Syndrome. My son had been on a plane for a few hours and was a bundle of energy. I apologized at check in for his raucous behavior and the staff said the most amazing thing, "Better here than at your home, right? Don't worry he can't break anything here. Let him have some fun!" I was floored! I was immediately calmed and realized the Gaylord was a family establishment for families. We were staying with other families with children of varying ages and they had the same things to say. The staff were helping some of the kids find the best hiding spots during their hide and seek game! My wife and I had also forgotten to pack our travel crib. We called around 9pm and bell service promptly brought us a nice, cozy wooden crib for our daughter to sleep in. I had never even heard of a hotel providing this to their guests before. Every staff member we came in contact with from the front desk to the restaurants to the concierge and valet were amazingly helpful, thoughtful and gave us the sense that they truly cared about our guest experience. I will stay at the Gaylord every single time I visit the DFW area. Thank you, Gaylord Texan Hotel & Resort, for making our first family travelling experience better than we could ever imagine. We will back every year!!
