Very clean resort, very safe, LaVernda restaurant had very good food and service, buffet has good, very good service, great drinks of the day (other drinks were weak). Lots of food and drinks all over the resort. Rented snorkels for a hour at a time so if you have a snorkel and fins, bring them along. Lots of pools - various depths. No clocks so bring an alarm clock or water-proof watch. Beach was very clean. Could walk on the jetty and watch the fish swimming. Went on the island jeep tour which was very interesting. Resort had a casino night, outdoor movies, dance contest, lots to do. Discover Card is not widely accepted so bring MC/Visa. Small stores in the city do not take credit cards, so bring traveler's checks and exchange them for pesos at the resort. $1dollar = 12 pesos. When you purchase an item, you will receive pesos in change. Don't book travel from airport to hotel online - taxis are at the airport and hotel and they are cheaper. Not many outlets in the room, bring a surge protection strip if you have to charge devices. If you are looking for a good deal at a clean, friendly resort, this is it. Really enjoyed our stay - will go back.
