La Tortuga was wonderful! It is a hidden treasure right off the main street; very private but still located in the middle of everything. The rooms were a bit small, but we didn't spend much time there so that didn't matter . The open-air layout was unlike anything I've seen before & the landscaping was really beautiful. The bar area includes couches & room to lounge. There's even a mini-library; you almost feel like you'r relaxing at home. The pool is small, but adequate & the beach is only a short walk away. The breakfasts that are included at the hotel's restaurant (El Bistro) are outstanding - DO NOT SKIP! The front desk staff (especially Carlos) was extremely friendly & helpful. Even though it's located on a main street, as long as the windows were closed at night, we had no issues sleeping whatsoever. We would DEFINITLEY reccommend this hotels , as well as make a return trip. It's a great value for the location. ps - Be sure to check out Los Alcalos Tacos a few blocks away - we ate there three times it was sooooo good!
