I will start by saying that we were not looking for a fancy hotel by any means, just somewhere fun to stay with the kids for one night and we weren't spending much time in the hotel room at all. The pool is a big draw but make sure you check the schedules before hand- closed much of Sunday. I have stayed at this hotel in 2008 and again in June 2011 and one thing hasn't changed- the noise level! A kid friendly hotel is expected to be noisy with guests, especially during tournament season, but that isn't the issue- on both visits, it was the staff in the early morning. I have never experienced anything like it at other hotels. If you stay here, make sure you are getting up early. The doors opening and slamming shut started at 7am, talking in the halls, walkie talkies going off... very, very noisy and impossible to sleep in at all. Clean but very outdated- our bathroom had stains and was "as clean as it could be" but might not be up to some people's standards. One teeny bar of soap and one bottle of shampoo (no conditioner, anything else) and paper cups. No kleenex. Even if you are staying for the pool, it is VERY basic. Beds are wonderfully comfortable though. Really got the feeling that we were in the way of housekeeping by staying until check out time though. Construction going on outside- really, the loudest place imagineable.
