My husband and I had to make a unexpected trip to Hays to pick up something. It was a 5-hour drive from our home so we decided to stay the night instead of driving it all in one day. I made reservations a few hours before we left as we would be arriving very late. The staff was wonderful. We did not expect luxury. The room was clean and it also had microwave and refrigerator, which we were not expecting, as an added bonus. However, one of those appliances made noise all night long as well as the outside noise which made it next to impossible to sleep. The room was clean and very adequate for what we needed, it just wasn't an experience I would like to repeat anytime soon.
