I stayed at this hotel the two weeks just before the Christmas 2009. I found the room to be very comfortable and clean at all times. We had a king bed deluxe room with ocean view. We slept each night with the siding doors to the balcony opened. Thus we never needed to turn on the A/C at night. The sound of the waves and the ocean breeze made for a very quiet and comfortable sleep. The staff was always at all times very helpful and fulfilled our requests with due speed and efficiency. They were even willing to go out onto a roof and retrieve my wife's bathing suit when it was blown off the room’s balcony. The hotel is located right on the beach at the southern part of Cancun. Believe me being a small distance from the center of Cancun is a relief. Its location makes it a very quiet and relaxing place. The beach itself is very good; although I enjoyed the swimming pools so much I was reluctant to go out and swim in the bright blue Caribbean Sea. We also enjoyed the Jacuzzis and the infinity pool; drinking, relaxing and enjoying snacks poolside. There was always a waiter available to bring you drinks and food to you when the bar and Kiosko Cafe were open. We also ate at two other of the Hotels restaurants: MItachi Seafood Grill and Spices. Species has an extensive buffet breakfast which includes eggs and omelets made to order, fruits, cereals, smoothies, yogurts, pastries and Mexican dishes. This was an excellent way to start the day before you go out to see the sites. Mitachi's is an excellant seafood restaurant right on the beach with the table set up on different levels all with excellant views of the beach. We sat outside right on the beach. It was beautiful and romantic. I highly enjoyed my stay here and I highly recommend this place for your next vacation.
