The rooms were simple, but clean. We particularly enjoyed the view of the sea we have from our room. The food was all buffet served in two locations. We liked the meals although they tended to repeat themselves. The food was well prepared and tasted like it was made with care. We stayed at the Palace in Playa de Carmen in October and while there was more pretension in the food and service there, I preferred the food at the FIesta Americana for its flavor. I dived for 6 days wtih DIve House on the property and had a great time and felt it was a very professional operation. The service overall was good. We particularly appreciated our morning waither Endric whose smiling service never faltered.
A couple of complaints: the extra cost loberster was not worth it. Rubbery and over salted. At 7 each morning a very loud laudry cart was trundled by our door. They need to muffle the wheels.
