The hotel is excellently located for exploring Savannah's historic downtown which is a plus as the area is extremely pedestrian friendly. The staff is attentive, friendly, and informative. Standard queen sized bed rooms are well decorated and outfitted, comfortable and clean. Rooms generally to the westerly side of the hotel are directly across from a multi-story parking structure which, due to the single pane glass of the historic builiding, tend to allow a considerable amount of noise into them as people come and go from the parking structure througout the night. While it is stated that the hotel has a fitness facility, in fact, they have an arrangement for guests to use a fitness facility at another hotel on the riverfront side of Bay Street approximately 1-1/2 blocks away; a workable situation but something to keep in mind if it's raining or you're an early morning person.
All in all, an enjoyable and pleasant place to stay if you want to experience the true feel of downtown Savannah.
