Checkin was easy, friendly. Rooms were nice, great views from higher floors. The rooms encircle the elevators in the middle so you may want to ask for a room that isn't immediately across from the elevators. Expect to pay $*/day for internet (yes, even though it's 2011).
Pool was decent, highly chlorinated though. Stay in the south tower if you are planning on using the pool at lot so that you don't have to walk across the mezzanine from the south tower (although you can cut through the lobby if you really want). If you have small children ask about the special children package - included is a nightlight, rubber ducky, and some plug covers.
Parking, like everything downtown, is expensive at $*/day for self park so budget for that if you're driving.
We have 2 small children so we took a couple of items from the minibar fridge and placed them next to the TV with the intention to put them back when we checked out (we found out afterwards that you can request a separate fridge, but it's not standard in the room). The day we checked out I noticed a charge on my statement for a couple of items from the minibar. When I dialed '0' to Express Services I asked a woman about it she was rather cold (and blunt) stating that she will transfer me to front desk and they will determine if either (1) I get charged with $* minibar restocking/cleaning, or (2) Charge me for everything I removed from the minibar (ouch). I never even got to ask her name before she immediately transferred me. Front desk was nice and told me that it was simply a preauthorization and that I wasn't charged for anything (hasn't shown up on the VISA statement).
