While it did not live up to my expectation of past stays at Westin Hotels, The Westin Denver Downtown was still a very good place to stay for our trip to Denver. You can not beat the location right on 16th street. I recommend that you do not opt for the "green initiative". I do not mind reusing towels and not having the bed made every day but its a hassle to get coffee for the next morning, get the trash removed, etc. Definitely not worth the $* credit per day. The pool and work out area is fantastic. The Palm steakhouse is located on the bottom floor and is terrific. Be sure to walk across the street to Writers Square and try Crepes and Crepes. It was so good that my wife and I had breakfast there all four mornings we were in Denver. Another place to check out would be Mellow Mushroom Pizza. Service was typical of Westin, very good. Lobby Bar was a nice place to hang out before heading out for the evening. I look forward to returning to the Westin this Summer for some baseball games at Coors Field.
