A generally good hotel with some issues

For a very large hotel, service was suprisingly good. Rooms were were well appointed, beds were comfortable. Amenities were good - as one would expect from a 4* hotel. One issue was a faulty room heating unit which continued to blast hot air despite being sent to lowest level Maintenance had no solution other than "try turning it off." As the outdoor temperature was about 0C, that worked fine for us but I wouldn't want to try it at -20C. Related to this is a note that the Richmond Tower, at least, has single pane glass in the windoews which, in a northern continental climate, is horrendously inefficient and thus, the hotel is a major contributor to greenhouse gasses. The other issue was an all night party of late teens to early 20's at several rooms around ours on Saturday night. Not much sleep and a drreadful day for the housekeeping staff on Sunday morning. Otherwise, a pretty nice experience.
