Our room was not available until more than an hour after our 3:00 pm check-in time. When we finally got to our room we discovered that it was exceedingly warm and that the air conditioner was not working. Additionally, we found that the battery in the remote control for the television was dead. After several hours the air conditioner was repaired and our room eventually cooled down. Also, we were provided a functioning remote control so that we could operate the tellevision.
Unfortunately, we encountered further aggrevation when the hotel fire alarm went off twice between 1:00 and 2:00 am.
We will not consider the Doubletree when we make plans to visit New Orleans in the future.
