I have stayed in this hotel many times the last few years. Lobby is spacious, elevators are tired. They work but give the look and feel to have been there many years. Guest rooms are OK, not special, a few years back they took out the balcony's and added these to the roooms, makes them more spacious. Cleanliness is not always of the highest order, not outright dirty but the same old and tired look as the elevators.
I find the uper floors, 8 and higher, to be of better quality then the lower floors. There is buffet dinner in the downstairs dining room that is mediocre at best, the ambiance is poor, not so bad for breakfast where they can make yo the eggs to your choice and a waffle. The rof level gourmet restaurant is rotating, food is OK but nothing special, service is good. Roomservice very expensive with silly seperate tickets to be signed for alcohol. Airconditioning on the floors hallways is poor, in the room it is good and quiet. Hotel location nicely on waterfront but do not recommend a walk outside after dark. Trafic into the hotel can be horrible if there is a convention.
