Noisy Hotel - August 2010

Lived in Long Beach and I think this property was built in the 1980's and there was little regard for noise-proofing, as I soon discovered. On the 8th floor I could hear a motorcycle on the street below passing and the room ... well I could hear the compressor on the fridge kick in in the next room. That doesn't begin to address the party that when on down the hall from me on Saturday night till almost 4:00 a.m. Forget the fact that you need a room key to get to the correct floor in the elevator ... that was no deterrent for these rude youth who actually knocked on my door as they left because I had a do not disturb sign on my door. Also not nearly enough parking if you want to self park in the building. Quite a disappointment ... I've stayed in quieter Holiday Inn Express Hotels:(
